Activating Media Center applications on Windows 7/Vista

Before you can use one of our Media Center applications for Windows Vista, you'll have to activate it.

Get an activation code

To be able to activate an application, you need an activation code.
You can get one, by pressing the button called "Activate" to the left of this page.
On the webpage you then see, enter both your name and your e-mail address and you will receive an activation code in your inbox.

Both your e-mail address and the activation code are needed to activate the application.

Activate the application

The first time you start the application on your Media Center PC, you'll be asked to activate it:

Enter both your e-mail address and the activation code you received.
When you enter the activation code, make sure you enter it exactly right. The activation code consists of 8 (alternating uppercase and lowercase) characters.

You can use your regular keyboard to enter the information, but you can also press the "keyboard" button on the screen to make use of an on-screen keyboard:

In some cases it may be handy to use this on-screen keyboard, for example:

  • If you use a Media Center Extender
  • If you don't have a keyboard connected to your Media Center PC
  • If it is not possible to enter the "@" character with your keyboard
(this is caused by an error in Vista's Media Center application)

Once you've correctly entered both your e-mail address and your activation code, press the button called "Activate".
That's all!
